Sol: Mails identified as Spam are by default available in the Spam folder. Initially it is advisable that you see the mails in this folder also so that legitimate mails don’t get lost. When you are reasonably sure that no false positives occur, you can also chose to delete these straight away and not have them moved to this folder. To do this, in the Options tab, choose the Spam will be deleted option.

You can manually delete the messages in your Spam Folder so that you keep your mailbox quota under control. You can do this by logging into WebMail.

Simple. Just open your Bulk Mail Folder and check the box next to each message by clicking on it. Then hit the Delete button located at the bottom of the page. To delete all the spam messages on the list, click on the Select All button, and then hit Delete.

If SpamBayes identifies a message correctly then it is fine to delete it. After a message is identified, SpamBayes only uses the message if you need to train an unsure or incorrect identification. It is also safe to delete any messages that you have already trained on using the "Delete as Spam" and "Recover from Spam" buttons. All the information that SpamBayes needs to know about trained messages is stored in a separate file.

The problem with this is that you can also set SpamBayes to train all messages moved to the designated spam folder. If you set the deleted items folder as the spam folder (early versions of the plug-in allowed this), then all messages that you delete would be trained as spam.

Some mail you are waiting for and yet do not receive may be mis-labelled as spam. You can find the spam folders in your email server under the mail directory.
