There are many research opportunities available to students through research centers affiliated with the Wagner School. All doctoral students are encouraged to seek research opportunities. Furthermore, many faculty are conducting research in a variety of areas of interest to doctoral students. In some cases, there are funded opportunities for research assistants. There are also unpaid research experiences available.

important feature of the Wagner Doctoral Program is the wide range of opportunities for students to obtain the skills and experience necessary to become effective teachers. There are many opportunities for doctoral students to work with full-time faculty as tutors, teaching assistants and, eventually, as primary instructors in courses in the master's curriculum.

Three types of formal advisement are available to Wagner doctoral students. Upon entry into the program, students engage with the Doctoral Program Director to clarify the administrative requirements of the program and help the student map out an initial plan of study. In addition, all new students are assigned a Faculty advisor who shares common research interests and will further help the student organize a study plan.

The Doctoral Program offers numerous opportunities to meet fellow doctoral students and Wagner faculty. Some of these opportunities are social in nature, while others are to help students strengthen their skills. Membership in professional organization is encouraged for doctoral students, and funding to attend professional conferences is available on a competitive basis.

Partner with a faculty member to research a topic of interest to you (outside of your major is OK!). Present your research at Discovery Day. Apply to become a Magellan Scholar and receive up to $3,000 to fund your research project in collaboration with a faculty mentor.

Yes, there are opportunities for undergraduates to engage in research projects under the guidance of mathematics faculty. If you are interested in pursing a particular area of research, you should contact one of our advisors or the faculty member who specializes in that area.

The program prepares graduates for careers at academic institutions, in think tanks, research firms, and research units of public, quasi-public and private organizations, as well as for other positions with substantial responsibilities for the supervision and administration of research. The Wagner Doctoral Program encourages students to take courses in other NYU schools and departments. In addition, many doctoral students invite non-Wagner and non-NYU professors to be on their dissertation committees.? [up]

NYU Wagner's Office of Career Services (OCS) offers resources for students and alumni to develop appropriate strategies that lead to successful careers in academia, research, and public service. OCS has partnered with the Doctoral Program administration to develop guideline materials and workshops specifically aimed at Wagner doctoral students seeking academic positions.? [up]

Answer: Individuals are free to participate in a wide variety of recreational activities. Each residence develops plans to assist individuals in accessing community events such as movies, concerts, sporting events, picnics, swimming, theater shows, golfing, fairs, camps, etc. Many individuals participate in bowling leagues, Special Olympics, and the Leisure Center.

Students in our program have worked on faculty research projects (administering assessments, collecting data, transcribing, etc.), tutored in classrooms, and participated in internships with policy organizations, publishers, and other educational institutions suited to their professional goals. The Music Engineering (MUE) Graduate program does not have your "conventional" research-for-funding that other engineering graduate schools might have. This is mostly because we want your thesis and research to be completely up to you, and not dictated by some company that is funding you. However, if you have a company in mind that would be willing to support your original thesis ideas, this situation would be considered. However, it is not the norm.

Answer: All students are encouraged to apply for federal financial aid, and in some cases, a federal financial aid application is required before students can be considered for other scholarships or grant opportunities.

Incoming students may be eligible for our Deans' and Founders' Scholarships, or Diversity Scholarships. Albany Law School does not regulate the pursuit of scholarship opportunities outside of the institution, but does offer a listing of these External Scholarships. Housing is available in the form of University-owned apartment complexes. Apartments are available only to matriculated, full-time students. Both furnished and unfurnished apartments are available. Generally, university housing for couples is not available unless both will be matriculated at NYU. Housing applications are automatically mailed to all accepted students with their official acceptance letter.

All applicants who are applying for a doctoral-degree program are automatically considered for The Davidson School Merit Fellowship and a living stipend. The fellowship covers the cost of tuition for doctoral students while they are in residency (generally two to three years). The living stipend is generally $20,000 per academic year.

Answer: Bentley awards two types of Merit-Based Aid to highly qualified full-time and part-time graduate students. Awards are based primarily on academic, professional and personal merit, with consideration given to the contribution that each individual can make to the graduate school — without regard to financial need.

Graduate students have many opportunities for research here at UCF. Faculty members who do funded research enlist graduate assistants to help them out. Also, students work and do internships at many labs and companies that are affiliated with the school. See questions regarding work and internships.

A variety of research is available at the Oakland campus. Each resident can spend four weeks each year on pursuing this interest. Residents complete a research project/case report or other scholarly project. These projects include case reports as well as research with other residents and faculty investigators. In recognition of the importance of research in medicine, categorical residents are encouraged to participate in a research project of their choice during the three-year training cycle. While in the program, residents gain a better understanding of research methodology and enhance their ability to critically analyze medical literature. Residents attend lectures regarding medical epidemiology/biostatics and are given a research manual that guides them through the various stages of research.

All residents are required to participate in scholarly activity. The outcome of this project is presented twice a year. Residents have traveled both regionally and nationally to present their projects.

If you wish to participate in international research in HIV/AIDS, please contact the International Program of the UCSD Center for AIDS Research. Staff may be able to help you get in touch with investigators who are conducting research in other countries. There is no guarantee that a collaboration will result. That will be between you and the investigator.

the end of the first year, following three laboratory rotations and successful completion of the Comprehensive Examination, each student selects a faculty advisor and begins doctoral research.

Within the School of Architecture, preservation students are eligible for various office, research, and teaching assistantships. In the recent past students have worked at the Charles Moore Center for the Study of Place and the Austin Heritage Society and have been employed to take part in school-sponsored activities such the Mayor's Institute on City Design and City of Austin Historic Resource Survey.

Outcomes from funded studies are used to inform policy and practice, and therefore, publication in peer-reviewed journals is the preferred method by which to disseminate research findings. Other forums for dissemination include local, regional, and national professional meetings; military nursing professional meetings; military administrative meetings; executive summary reports; and publication in professional journals.

Typically, there are a number of cultural opportunities available for Red Feather volunteers. Availability generally depends upon the time of year in which we are building, and the level of involvement by the local community. Potential opportunities include: presentations by local artisans, access to meals cooked by tribal members, working with tribal members, and seasonal festivals.
