Once you have completed the MAT you are automatically awarded an MAT degree in your subject area. The MAT immediately applies for certification on your behalf. As long as you have completed the other NYS requirement for certification and have paid your certification processing fee, you should be officially certified in a couple of weeks.

There are no Virginia certification requirements. Although certification is not required, some travel counselors earn a CTC. To become a CTC (Certified Travel Counselor) you must be in the travel and tourism business for at least five years and complete course work through ICTA (the Institute of Certified Travel Agents). If you do not have any previous experience in the travel business, you must hire a manager with at least two years experience to receive airline commissions.

Once you have successfully completed the course, a certificate of completion is issued for you. The certificate is sent either directly to you or the court, depending on where you were cited. It is your responsibility to submit the certificate to the court if it is sent to you. If the certificate is to be sent directly to your court, contact the court within a couple of weeks to confirm.

A12. No. The state confers certification. The state may have requirements for certification that will not permit some individuals to acquire certification.

Proof of CPR certification is required by the first day of nursing school. You must maintain current certification throughout the program.

Temporary teaching permits will normally be received within 1-2 weeks from the time the Certification Office receives clearance from the Office of Field Experiences that the final student teaching evaluation is completed. The permanent certificate is usually processed within 2-3 months, mailed from OSPI to the Certification Office, then forwarded to you. The "diploma" address is the only address used so be sure to keep it updated.

The courses for the Vitesse Program are considered acceptable credits towards any degree program at the universities. It is possible to complete a degree program with a multiple-year fellowship, often times a second undergraduate degree. For programs that are one year or less, you can choose the area that you want to study and/or research, but completion of a degree is not required.

You will not be certified as a sign language interpreter upon completion of this course. Interpreting requires that you interact with people in order to learn how to effectively interpret ASL to English and English to ASL. But after taking all four courses you will have the foundational ASL skills that will enable you to consider if you might enjoy using ASL and English in a career as an interpreter.
