Update 11.2.3 allows Entourage 2004 users to sync to Apple's Address Book. If you are using an older version of Entourage see Dan Crevier blog for more info. I know one can synchronize your Entourage database with a Palm device. Can you synchronize your Entourage database (specifically the contacts) across multiple desktops? Entourage stores data such as your address book, settings and preferences LOCALLY (i.e., on your local computer). If you need to reinstall your machine for any reason, you risk losing this data. You can decide to back up your Entourage data on a regular basis.

This is a pretty easy process, though it’ll be a bit easier if Helio releases PC/Mac syncing. Highlight all of your contacts in address book, and export them as a vCard (You can just drag the whole lot onto your desktop, it’ll only make one file). Use this converter to convert that file into a CSV. You can now import this into your address book at webmail.myhelio.com

In order for the GroupWise address book to be sorted by last name, the last name column should be the first one that appears in the address book. Unfortunately, at this stage we do not support Apple computers. However, if you run windows from within your Mac on software such as Virtual PC, you will be able to run Ultimate Vocabulary. You should not need to put this in each time the program starts. You may have some anti-virus or anti-spyware software that is preventing our program writing the information it needs to "remember" that you have entered the license key.

The address must be formatted correctly. There are two things to check. First, the spelling of the street must be correct and complete with both the full name and the street type. There are three apple varieties recommended for Florida: Anna, Ein Shemer, and Golden Dorsett. Most apples are not self-fruitful; for example, when Anna is planted alone, it will not bear fruit. When you download Backup Assistant, you will be guided through a series of steps that will create an account for you and backup your address book for the first time. Backup Assistant will safely backup any subsequent changes to your address book either automatically, at a schedule that you set, or manually, depending on the schedule option you select when you first create your account.

You only need to have the views ($Users), ($PeopleGroupsFlat), and ($PeopleGroupsHier) in your database. You also need the ($NamesFieldLookup) view if you want people to be able to begin typing the name in the To: field and have Notes find it automatically in the address books and fill in the rest.
