Quite a few. Apple Integer BASIC (in-ROM on the first Apple II's), can be loaded into II+ and later models. Applesoft, a floating point BASIC, is in-ROM on all models starting with the II+. Older Apple II's can load-in Applesoft or, via a plug-in board, access it from ROM. The best way to write Applesoft BASIC programs is using Program Writer, a full-screen editor from Beagle Bros. Users who want to speed up their Applesoft programs can use a BASIC compiler such as TASC or Einstein.

The most popular 8-bit Apple II emus are AppleWin and Apple Oasis, which run under PC Windows, and Apple-PC, which runs under PC DOS and includes support for Mockingboard sound. SmallBASIC , suitable for idle programming and simple applications, very little event support OnBoard C , is a full-featured self-hosted (ie. on the Palm itself) C compiler. Requires, sadly, a non-free resource compiler to generate UI elements, last I checked. Java programs can also be written for the UX40/50, as there there are multiple Virtual Machines for Palm OS.
