This appears to be a problem with the LaserJet IV driver initialization. One way we have found to work around the problem is to print a blank Figure window before printing anything else to the LaserJet. This will print a blank piece of paper, and also has the side effect of properly initializing the driver. After this, you should be able to print without any problems. Note that this blank Figure window only needs to be printed once per Windows session.

When you enter the screen that you wish to print, the dialog box instructs you to press "1" to print and has the "OK" button below this statement. Press the "OK" button first, then press the number 1 (one) key.

A number of things affect the speed of your printer: font style, characters per inch (CPI) settings, lines per inch (LPI) settings, and graphics mode. Each affects how many dots per inch the printer must print and how close together the dots must be placed. Printers run fastest in low quality draft mode because the printer does not use as many dots per character and the dots do not have to be placed with as high precision.

You're behind a firewall and the firewall software is attempting to modify incoming bits. Contact your network or firewall administrator (to test, try downloading from outside the firewall first). Your Internet connection went down or timed out. Check with your ISP or network administrator to see if there's a special policy about keeping a connection live.

This usually happens when you try to print something but don't have a default printer installed. The problem has been fixed in the latest release, but an easy workaround would be to set up a dummy default printer.

The Dependent Pulldowns feature is available in Versions 4.1 and later. When using Dependent Pulldowns, an option menu item in the child pulldown can be configured to show up as a valid option for all parent pulldown option menu items. To do this, you must map the option menu item from the child pulldown menu to each parent pulldown menu. The steps to do this are as follows: Click on the Option Menus button, then click on Item Dependencies button next to the child pulldown menu.

This can occur if you are using the printer port as your connection to your MIDI interface. To alleviate this problem, choose Options | OMS Midi Setup and unselect Printer. You should now be able to print your file. Once done, go back to OMS Midi Setup and reselect Printer, and you'll be able to continue recording and playing back MIDI through that port. (back to top)

After installing our fax program, you must reboot your computer and start the fax program at least one time, after installing. This is when the fax printer driver is created. To convert a document into a fax once the ElectraSoft Print to Fax is in place, from any program you can print and choose ElectraSoft Print to Fax as the printer.

I upgraded to OpenSSH 3.1 and X11 forwarding stopped working. Starting with OpenSSH 3.1, the sshd x11 forwarding server listens on localhost by default; see the sshd X11UseLocalhost option to revert to prior behaviour if your older X11 clients do not function with this configuration. In general, X11 clients using X11 R6 should work with the default setting. Some vendors, including HP, ship X11 clients with R6 and R5 libs, so some clients will work, and others will not work.

Using the syringe supplied in your refill kit, inject air into the top air vent to clean the nozzles. A small amount of ink should be emitted from the nozzle upon injection. If this procedure is ineffective, fill a small dish with warm water and soak the nozzles for approximately 1 hour. After soaking dry the nozzle using a soft tissue or cotton swab and inject air into the top vent. Reinstall the cartridge and attempt to print again.

The trial version of cViewMANAGER has restricted functionality and will only print to the default printer. The full version will print to non-default printers cView, cViewMANAGER and cViewSERVER all require live connections to the database. If you are having problems with database access check the following: The Database client must be installed on the cView machine. This includes any SQL client, Oracle client etc. Password information is stored in the File/Settings/Connections form.

I was curious about this question, because of the number of people who like printing from pine on The ITD Login Service to a local printer, so I wrote a little script that prints a file to the local printer. Currently, to run it, use the command: On a Mac, this will bring up the printer dialogue, and ask you if you're sure. On a PC, it may do any of several things.

In older versions of DataVision (before 0.7.10), the Table Linker, Sort By, and Group By dialogs had to retrieve the list of all database tables and columns. If you have a large database, this can take a long, long time. DataVision was changed to avoid having to ask for all tables and columns. Instead, in these dialogs it only displays the columns from tables actually used in the report.

The $r->content method reads application/x-www-form-urlencoded data directly from the client and it does not keep a copy, so if you (or another handler) call it again, the server will hang. One way of avoiding this, if you do not have full control of all the handlers involved, is to convert the request from POST to GET in the first handler that reads the content:

When a PIN has been set, Tuning is protected by parental control because Auto Tuning will remove any parental control settings on specific channels.

When printing labels, be sure that the print window indicates Records being browsed instead of Current record. If Current record is selected, only one record will print.

Adding a new printer to your network is easy. Connect the printer to the computer (or network device) you want and get it working so you can print a test page. The thumbnail image layout on your screen is dependent on your browser window size. The larger your Web browser window, the more images that fit. If you find printouts of the archive page are being cropped when you print them, try two things. First, set up your printer driver to print in a "Landscape" format (prints across the wide part of a page instead of the narrower part).

The security in a browser is designed to restrict you from automating things like this. However, you can use JavaScript in the HTML your servlet returns to print a frame. The browser will still confirm the print job with the user, so you can't completely automate this. Also, you'll be printing whatever the browser is displaying (it will not reliably print plug-ins or applets), so normally you are restricted to HTML and images.

Open up the print queue by clicking on Start -> Control Panel -> Printers and Faxes and clicking on the appropriate printer. Make note if there are any documents in the queue that are returning an error status. If there are, try to clear the queue by right clicking on the documents and selecting cancel. If you are unable to clear a queue, please contact Support Services who should be able to clear the queue for you. Once the queue is cleared, try printing to the printer again.

When you attempt to print to a network printer, you receive error messages or the document is not printed.
