If you notice problems with your vision, we want to know about them immediately. We ask that you keep ice packs or packets of frozen peas on your eyes when you are awake for the first day or two when you are resting. Most patients are watching TV and listening to radio 1-2 days after surgery.

You are to wear them while you are sleeping for a period of 2 weeks after your surgery. This is to avoid accidental eye rubbing at night. For PRK, no clear shield is required but there will be a clear bandage contact lens placed on your eye for about 3 to 4 days.
