The modem can be used on any PC or Laptop (that meets the minimum requirements) and it is portable. However the internet connection cannot be shared. The 3G Broadband Router will be more suitable for this use as the Internet connection can be shared.

Please note that you cannot use the USB port of a usb HUB to extend the wire length between your modem and PC, or share the access to multiple systems.
