In 2004 AVD introduced the AV15CA series of prompters, which use name brand LCD flatscreen computer monitors as the prompter display. Not normally. Even with the GS's RGB monitor connector, the GS puts out a 15Khz horizontal refresh signal. Most modern monitors (notable exceptions are the old NEC Multisync 1 and 2 monitors) require the signal to be at least 30Khz, and thus won't display the picture. If you have a question on whether a given monitor will work, check the manual for it or contact the manufacturer to see if it'll support 15Khz horizontal syncs.

I got a Belkin one from Compusa that was cheap, but had no switches, and it didn't work. I got another that is a Philips (Model 9AVMAC-074I), and it allows me to dial in what resolution the 15" will run at.

Best check with the graphics card manufacturer. Make sure the graphics card is compliant to operate the way Microsoft wants it to, and note that currently AGP cards cannot drive the primary display. It depends. Initial support for USB device proxy and emulation is now available in QEMU 0.8.0. Long answer: This generally requires cooperation from the guest OS/drivers (Like with Xen). Fixed Frequency - These monitors will only display video signals with certain line and refresh rates. They will typically only display CGA / EGA / VGA modes. Multi Frequency - These monitors will display any video signal within a certain range, typically 30-50Khz line rate and 50-80Hz refresh rate.
