The Palm address book name does not correspond to the name under which you are logged in. To change the Palm address book name: The Palm User field may be incorrectly specified as the short name (e.g., JOHNS) rather than the full name (e.g., John Smith). The calendar application does not support this kind of change. You must delete the event and then create a new one for the calendar application to recognize it after the next HotSync.

No. You can sync with only one or the other. When you install the Oracle Calendar conduit, the default is a Typical Install, which includes the Oracle Calendar address book.

If the Oracle Calendar Sync software is unable to specify a Timezone, it will be unable to Sync to Sundial. This problem is caused by the misplacement of a file named "timezone.ini". The following steps explain how to fix the Timezone options in Oracle Calendar Sync. Go into the Start Menu -> Programs -> Oracle Calendar Sync for Palm -> Settings and in the settings to into the Time Zone category. If the Time Zone field is blank, you will be unable to Sync to Sundial.

If an event was deleted, it no longer exists on the server, but you may need to clear the cache on your local computer. Otherwise, the meeting may appear as if it is there, but you receive an error when you try to open it. Select the folder containing the event you could not access. Select Refresh This Folder from the Tools menu in Outlook.

Oracle Calendar will remain fully functional until August 18th, 2006. It will available in a read-only status for some months after that date so users can recover calendar information from the previous year.

You must change your Netlink password in order to change your Oracle Calendar password. To prevent inadvertent changes to your Netlink password, the ability to change your calendar password has been disabled in Oracle Calendar.

Yes, although you will need an additional program that will serve as a "conduit" between your hand PDA's programming and the VUcal's server database. The programming to facilitate this is called "CorporateSync", and versions are available for the Palm (MS Windows and Mac OS platforms), Pocket PC (MS Windows only), and WinCE (MS Windows only) PDA systems. The Date Range settings affect how Oracle Calendar Sync for Palm treats changes to Events on the calendar server. That is, changes made on the server that fall outside the date range will not be synchronized with the mobile device. Changes made on the device, regardless of the date, will always be synchronized with the server.

Your BlackBerry Internet Service enables you to synchronise your BlackBerry address book, tasks, memos and calendar with Microsoft Outlook 2000 or later. To allow you to do this you will need to install the BlackBerry Desktop Manager that came on a CD with your BlackBerry device. To load Desktop Manager you should run the BlackBerry Desktop Manager CD and an Install Wizard will then take you through the installation process.

From the Menu, click Tools/Manage Groups. A Manage Groups window will come up and the window will probably be blank with the word (None). The window will say "Manage your Groups from this dialog. Select a group from the box and modify it, or click New to create another group. Type the last name of a person for your group and click on the button that looks like a check mark, or, if you prefer, just hit the Enter key. Yes. When you install the Oracle Calendar conduit, it syncs the Oracle Calendar asks with your PDA's To Do List.

If the address book is blank, then the book may be closed. Follow the steps below to open the address book(s) that are closed.

In order for the GroupWise address book to be sorted by last name, the last name column should be the first one that appears in the address book. Follow the steps below to make last name the first column. The name of each column in the address book will appear above the column and will have a grey back ground. Point at the first column name and click the right mouse button. After clicking More Columns, a screen will appear.

Unfortunately, there is no product or service available that can move all of the calendar data from our Oracle Calendar sytem to GroupWise at a server level. It is possible for an individual user to export a range of data from their personal Oracle Calendar account to a file of a common format (iCal) that can be imported into GroupWise. This process is not flawless. For example, the links between instances of reoccurring meetings will be broken after they are imported in to GroupWise.

We recommend that you sync your PDA with the Palm Desktop address book, not the Oracle Calendar address book. This is because your Oracle Calendar address book is stored locally (offline) on your hard drive, where the lock manager can make sure that your files don't get overwritten by another application. To make sure that your Palm Desktop address book is accessible to only one process at a time, the Oracle Calendar client must be closed when you sync your address book.

Sometimes techies are too tough and demanding on new and hot releases! It costs money to develop such amazing toys. I am buying this thing as soon as it hits the market. Worth every penny I don’t need it personally, but we always turn captioning on in the evenings so as not to wake the little one upstairs. I suspect 3rd party widgets will be allowed, but downloadable only from cingular or Apple sites, to make sure they do not break anything (such as promises).
