Yes, as long as they are graduate-level or, if they are open to both undergrads and graduate students, if students obtain the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs' permission (room 1070H) and if the professor certifies to the Law School Registrar's Office (in writing) that you will be held to graduate-level performance. Also, the other school must allow you to take the course as a guest student.

Some universities offer Dual degree programs wherein a student maybe able to complete his/her degree in a shorter period of time than usually required. For example, an M.S. and M.B.A. dual degree is offered by some universities in which the Dual degree can be secured in 3 years, instead of 4 years if taken separately.

It is probably best if you do not study something law-related, unless you feel that that subject is of interest to you. Most law schools feel that a pre-law program is neither advantageous nor desired for acceptance. Instead, study something you enjoy and will enable you to excel. The most important thing is to build a strong academic grade point average, not to make an attempt to please admission officers by choosing a law-related major.

Generally, a student must apply and complete one degree at a time. Some Universities do have provisions for students to complete two degrees at the same time. For example the Engineering Management program allows the student to complete both the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in a 5-year program at the same University rather than in the actual six years that it would otherwise take. However very few colleges offer this possibility.

If a student is not invited to participate in the BSN/MSN Dual Degree program at the point of admission, he/she can qualify at the end of the winter term of their freshman year. The academic advisor will track the grades for all students taking their prerequisite course in the fall and winter terms. Randford University awards a wide range of undergraduate and graduate degrees, but we do not offer doctorates of any kind. Medical and law degrees fall under doctorates and cannot be awarded. However, we do offer up to a Masters degree in many disciplines.

Yes, there are many joint degree options available to J.D. students.  Some are structured programs, but students may also individually design other joint degree opportunities.   Applicants interested in joint degree programs must apply to each program separately. Normally students earn both a masters degree and a J.D. in four years.  

One of the biggest reasons people go to law school is "because you can do so many things with a law degree". For most of these people, this translates as "I really don't know what to do with my life, and going to law school will postpone that decision for at least three years." Frankly, we couldn't think of a worse reason to go to law school, or become a lawyer. If your goal in life is to do something other than practice law, go ahead and do that something.

Yes, there is an MD/MPH program at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Students interested in both degree programs generally take a leave of absence after the 2nd or 3rd year of medical school to complete the MPH. No. All required law courses in the joint degree program must be taken for a grade. The policy on pass/fail states “required courses, including those that fulfill the upperclass legal writing requirement, are not available for this option, since a major goal is to encourage students to take courses they might not otherwise take.” Generally, a joint degree will not limit your opportunities to participate in law journals, moot court, etc.

In order to answer this question, you will have to (gasp!) read your contract with the publisher. You originally possessed the right to do all the things you indicate that you plan to do with your slides, but you may have given up those rights, or some part of them, in your contract. Answer: All foreign transcripts must be evaluated to make sure they are equivalent to an American degree. Students should contact Word Education Services (http://www.wes.org) to request a transcript evaluation. The evaluation must be a course-by-course evaluation AND it must show a GPA (grade point average). Original transcripts from foreign universities must be submitted to World Education Services AND to Stony Brook.

Global E? is a non-degree student exchange program. Students receive credit from their home institutions for courses taken abroad, which can be used toward a degree at their home university. They also have opportunities for internships in industry or academic laboratories. Overseas students studying in the US are registered as undergraduate exchange students and may enroll in master's level courses, but may not earn a master's degree under the Global E? program.
