Another quotes David Gilmour as saying that Wright wasn't contributing much of anything, and hadn't been for a couple years, partially due to something of "a bad cocaine habit." He did play with the band on The Wall tour, but not as a full member of the band.

I left because of disagreements that would never have gotten resolved. I felt that it was best for the band and myself for me to depart.

According to a post on alt.music.genesis by Christian Gerhardts, Daryl left to join Phil's band full-time. Here's what Daryl had to say on the matter: A lot of things have changed inside Genesis and they wanted to play in the States at the same time Phil was playing in Europe. For me there was no chance to play with Genesis. To close the chapter Genesis was very hard for me. It always was a pleasureable thing. But also, I would miss Chester. So I would say that I miss Genesis in the 92 line-up.

Chris decided to leave the band in March 2003 to go back to school to become a teacher, married Terri in October 2003 and became a father.

Jeff's last show was August 3rd, 2002---he decided to leave the band to work on his songwriting and is now married with a child, living in Alberta (I believe).

Well, it's true. Drummer, Dave Rock and Rilo Kiley have sadly parted ways. The rest of us felt it was time to move on when some stuff came up that we couldn't resolve. This desicion has no impact on how any of us feels about Dave as a person. I love Dave Rock and wish him the best of luck in everything he does.

The original intent was for Dave to "shadow" Syd on stage, stepping in to cover for him whenever necessary. This didn't last very long, though. The band played as a five-piece for about four shows before deciding that they could do well enough without Syd. So one night, on the way to a gig, they simply didn't pick him up.

The words are the band's way of saying "goodbye" to Peter. If you compare that section to Solsbury Hill, which is Peter's song about why he left Genesis ("take your things, I've come to take you home") then the answer should be clear.

Peter had planned on becoming a doctor, but found that acting was more his cup of tea. He left medical school just short of taking the Boards and had several odd jobs (including that of a motorcycle dispatch rider) before his acting career took off.

Kinda. After seeing the little story on the back of Genesis Live, William Friedkin wanted Peter to write a screenplay. When he asked the other band members if they could stop working on The Lamb they said no. So, he left. "Peter came back after a week because I think Friedkin got frightened at the idea of being the cause of breaking up the group. He told Pete that he didn't want that much of a commitment, just a few ideas." - phil collins.

Pat left June 7th, 2003 and went home to Canada to his wife Christa and infant daughter Talia. He's pursuing a career in the medical field. Update 10/06 -- Pat is living in Saskatchewan, working as a realitor and he and Christa welcomed a son in Summer 2006. Congratulations!

Tommy was with the band from the beginning, and drummed on their first three studio albums. Tommy's last show was May 4, 1978, at CBGB in New York. Tommy left under amiable terms, citing a dislike of touring and desire to be a producer. He returned to produce the albums Road to Ruin and Too Tough To Die.

Richie's joined the band in 1983 and played his first show on February 13 in Utica, New York. Richie quit the band unexpectedly after a show in Easthampton, N.Y., on August 12, 1987. The Ramones were forced to cancel three shows. The book Ramones: An American Band, by Jim Bessman, states that Richie may have quit over a disagreement over pay, but does not give any details. Bessman also writes that "not surprisingly, none of the remaining Ramones speak favorably of Richie."

Numerous reasons have been cited for Dee Dee's departure. In Ramones: An American Band, by Jim Bessman, Dee Dee's wife Vera says the reason was a combination of the pressure of touring, constant songwriting, and recording, as well as his difficulties with sobriety. Johnny says that "I'm not really sure why Dee Dee quit. I never really knew what went on in his head." Dee Dee's last show was July 5, 1989, in Santa Clara, California. Dee Dee's replacement was C.J.

The following is excerpted from an interview with Warren by Mandy Jones for Cyndi Glass' fanzine, Privacy, March/April 1995 issue: W: "It just didn't work out...He did write some stuff with us, but it wasn't really his forte. He wasn't around at the beginning of the last album and we were working so fast. It was nice to work without drums, as writers it was a lot easier to write without a drummer. Nothing personal to him. And also I think it was a bit of too many cooks, that stuff comes into it.

Marky was Tommy's replacement, joining the band in 1978. His first show was on June 29, 1978, in Poughkeepsie, New York. Marky suffered from a severe drinking problem which led to his departure in 1983. In fact, his drinking problem even caused him to miss a show on October 10, 1981, in Virginia Beach. Marky's last show before being replaced by Richie Ramone was November 27, 1982, in Islip, Long Island. Marky returned to the Ramones in 1987.

Jim left because he had always been considered a temporary drummer. He learned to play the drums for Veruca Salt. He was the frontman of a band called Ultraswiss before he joined Veruca Salt. He left to go return to Ultraswiss as a singer/guitarist.

Patrick left the band in July 2007 for unknown reasons (although it was reported he left to work on side projects at home in Montreal) and had moved home to Montreal, Quebec after leaving Nashville. He was working on the French Canadian talk show of Belle et Bum during the months of August and September 2007. Patrick passed away the evening of September 27th, 2007 at his home in Montreal, Quebec at the age of 29, a little over a day before his 30th birthday.

Between Charlotte Ross' desire to stay home with her own new baby, the lower budget for this season and some other professional issues between Charlotte and the rest of the cast and crew, she won't be coming back at any point. So Connie is home with the kids, or out of the room when we see Andy at home with Theo. They're still married; we just don't see her anymore.

Like James McDaniel before him, Esai eventually grew frustrated with the limitations of playing the boss on a show about detectives and asked out of his contract. My management and I decided, if I'm going to be off the market for features and other shows, I should have a more substantial part," he said.
