Guests at Maggie's Place are invited into the community at any point during their pregnancy. After the baby is born, the mom and baby can reside in the house until the baby is six months old. This depends on a multitude of factors such as age, fragileness of skin tissue, wound tension, location and health risks such as diabetes. Normally, sutures stay placed for 7 days on the face. All other areas have sutures left in place for 10 to 14 days. If you are a quick healer, then we would like to reevaluate your surgical area in 7 days to determine if they need to be removed in a shorter time period.

It is up to your liking. However, we advise against wearing non-cotton clothing materials as it may be subjected to a high degree of heat which may cause damages to the material. A vigorous activities of uphill brisk-walking, cycling of more than 10mph, vigorous racquetball, singles tennis, jogging or running of 6mph, moving lawn or hand mower, and stairwalking could only burn more than 420 calories per hour on an average person.

Average length of stay is 6 to 8 weeks. We strongly recommend that you stay in outpatient treatment after discharge.
