In the Webmin Users module, click on the user that you want to symchronize with Unix and set his Password option to Unix Authentication. If PAM is not used on your operating system, the first two steps can be skipped. Webmin will instead read the /etc/passwd or /etc/shadow file directly to authenticate users who are using the Unix Authentication password mode.

In the Webmin Users module, create a new user called something like unixer, with access to the modules that you want all your Unix users to have access to. In each of the modules unixer has access to, change the module access control to give your users rights only to their own accounts. For example, in the Change Passwords module you should select Only this user for the Users whose passwords can be changed so that Unix users logging in can only change their own passwords.

Included with the Webmin distribution is a program called changepass.pl to solve erecisely this problem. Assuming you have installed Webmin in /usr/libexec/webmin, you could change the password of the admin user to foo by running /usr/libexec/webmin/changepass.pl /etc/webmin admin foo

In the Webmin Servers module, create a new user and give him access to only the Apache Webserver module. After saving, click on Apache Webserver next to the user's name in the list of Webmin users and use the form that appears to deny him access to everything except one selected virtual server. Many other modules can also be configured in a similar way to restrict the access of a user to only certain DNS domains, Unix users or mail aliases.

Yes! mod_auth_ntlm_winbind will authenticate your user, and then you can snag their username with $_SERVER["REMOTE_USER"]. It only authenticates users though, there's no group control or user information etc. That being said, using mod_auth_ntlm_winbind and adLDAP *together* is pretty sexy. mod_auth_ntlm_winbind logs them in automatically, and you can use adLDAP for your more specific access controls. Read the section on seamless authentication for more information.

The network connection with your Internet Service Provider (ISP) or with Fiscal Services Limited (FSL) may be down. Please ensure that you have logged on to the Internet through your ISP.

If you have installed the RPM version of Webmin, you can also use rpm -e webmin, or if you have installed the Solaris package you can use pkgrm WSwebmin .

After the registration process is complete, OARE will send to the Librarian and Director a single password. OARE expects the Librarian and Director to share this password with all faculty, staff and students of the institution so that these individuals can access OARE resources directly.

Assuming that $wgPasswordSalt is set to true (the default), you can use the following SQL query: UPDATE user SET user_password = MD5(CONCAT(user_id, '-', MD5('somepass'))) WHERE user_name = 'someuser'; Where obviously "somepass" is changed to the password you want to set and "someuser" is changed to the user name as it is listed in the table "user".

If you've forgotten your User Name or Password, go to the home page and click the forgot password link on the top left pane of the page. Next, type the email address you used when you registered, then click Submit. You will receive an email from feedback@ndei.org containing your User Name and Password. (It's important to keep your email address current. If your email address changes at any time after you register, be sure to update it using the "My Profile" link from the "My NDEI" page.)

Go to "My NDEI" and click on the "My Profile" link. On this page, you can change your Password. User Names cannot be changed once entered into the system. If you would like to change your User Name, you must re-register.

Passwords are changed on the Edit Existing User screen (see above). If you have included the person's email address, the control panel will automatically send new logon instructions by email. Changes take effect immediately.

If you have forgotten your password, go to www.cosmetologycampus.com and click on the "forgot password" link below the student login. Then enter your email address. You should receive an email to your email address stating your password. If you have forgotten your username and password, please contact customer support at 866-861-1985. No! You do not have to complete a session in one sitting. At the end of a section, you can log out and when you log back in, all of your information will be saved.

A form is available for password changes. It is available in the High School office. Passwords will only be changed for security reasons.

You can set the NMS for PC password to expire after the number of days you specify. By default, this is set up as 31 days for each user. When this period has elapsed, and the user logs on, they will be forced to change it as soon as login is completed. Log in as a System Manager user, and from the NMS for PC Control Panel applet, choose the Password Rules tab. Make sure all the users you require to follow this rule have their Password expiry value set to Default Period.

WebMin is an administration tool running on the Collector. To access it, use the WebMin icon on the Viewer desktop or through Internet Explorer go to URL http://(IP address):100000, for example http://10.1.206.111:10000. WebMin allows nearly full access to the Collector. It allows configuration of IP addresses, time/date, and many other items. You can do almost everything you could do with a monitor/keyboard/mouse on the Collector.

Once you activate onto the site you must use your new User Name and Password that you have selected to gain entry into the site. Smith Barney will cancel and invalidate your temporary User Name and Password within 24 hours of your successful activation. Make sure that you are entering your User Name and Password using the exact same case you originally selected during the activation process. You may have entered something incorrectly when you activated your account.
