How should I mark up lists?

This is correct: paragraph * list item 1 * nested item 1.1 * nested item 1.2 * list item 2 while this is probably incorrect: paragraph * list item 1 * nested item 1.1 * nested item 1.2 * list item 2 The extra indentation (of the list containing items 1.1 and 1.2) is recognized as a block quote. This is usually not what you mean and it causes the list in the output to be indented too much.
