If detailed measurements are taken as well as clear photographs of the roll cage and its connection points, K Dezines will be able to notch out the kit for you at an additional cost. Another option is to have the kit shipped to you with the corners uncovered (the carpet is glued/stapled in all other areas except the corners.) You can then notch out the kit yourself to insure proper fit. The glue is provided upon request at a small fee.

We highly recommend that you install a roll bar or roll cage before installing harnesses. Although this is not required for Solo II rules, it is for Solo I. 5-point harnesses will lock your body in an upright position making your head the tallest thing in the car. In a roll over accident, the harnesses do not allow you to move and if the roof collapses, you could be killed.

Autopower U-weld Cage Kits are designed to add on to an existing Autopower roll bar. U-weld Cage Kits do not come with the roll bar. Please order separately.

Because Autopower knows you have to weld onto the roll bar, why waste time and money to paint the bar and then make you sand it all off. However, occasionally Autopower will send you a painted roll bar with the U-weld Cage Kit because they just happened to have the roll bar in stock. They figure that you would rather have the whole order sooner and sand some paint compared to waiting for them to build another unpainted roll bar.

Yes. If your car has a roll cage the delete kit can be notched out to accommodate most roll bars. If the roll cage connects to the rear passenger floor area, the front half of the delete kit will not have to be modified. If the roll cage connects to the metal beam that the rear seat used to sit on, the front half of the kit will need to be notched out as well as the back.

It's still quite comfortable in the seat. While the brace visually intrudes into the passengers side, the passenger's body actually won't come near it unless they make an effort. In short, you won't notice it unless you grab it on purpose. It also may be possible to make a 427-style rear brace for the hoop, but we haven't tried it yet. Theoretically, anyway, a rear brace will fit...

I'll tell you right now, expect the roll bar or cage to arrive scratched. We try to protect the bar using plastic around the painted tubing, but as the bar rides in the truck, the vibrations will eventually wear out the plastic wrap. Most of the time these scratched areas will be hidden by roll bar padding. If you want a real nice paint job on your bar, please order it unpainted and have it painted upon arrival.

The donor car can be purchased new from M-Sport, at a cost of ?10,750. You may of course source your own donor car. The conversion kit costs ?9,100. You must fit all of the conversion kit to your donor car. If you choose a weld in cage option, and we fit this cage in the UK, there is a ?1000 extra charge. Other parts are available in the Options Kit, which you may choose to add to the basic Conversion Kit. All parts are listed on the website.

Autopower gives you two options: painted in black or no paint at all. If you would like your roll bar to be painted another color, powder coated, or chromed, we suggest that you order the bar without paint and then arrange to have the bar finished after you receive it.
