Related QuestionsWhat should I name my boat?
Draft rec.boats.cruising FAQOne particularly strange thing I've noticed on rec.boats is that there is an amazing amount of attention paid to boat names. Perhaps this is because a boat name is one of the few periods where everyone absolutely has to come up with something sounding creative and original. I remember well when my family bought a 13' Boston Whaler together. There were two major factions in the family, it being a coming together of two formerly-fractured halves, and each half wanted their own name or else.

Related QuestionsAre you satisfied with the electronics?
FAQFirst, a confession/disclaimer - the configuration of electronics was of our own design based on boat shows, literature, and some dock talk. We did not sit down with a professional, and in reflection, perhaps we should have. We do have most of it right and the specs are laid out on our Electronics page. Our main complaint is with the Furuno Navnet chartplotter/radar. The radar is fine, but we think the chartplotter is slow and cumbersome.
