This is a known bug. Switch to Plain Text view (by going to Tools > Options > Read > Read all messages in plain text). Another method is to set the margins to zero before printing. And yet another method is to perform a Forward of the message and switch to Plain Text (Format > Plain Text). Finally, there's also a hotfix (in beta).

On any Windows 9x or higher build operating system running Internet Explorer 5.0 or higher, a simple configuration setting in Internet Options will enable Internet Explorer or Outlook Express to automatically dial the default Internet connection. There have been a few reports of Internet Explorer 7 not showing links that are clearly present in the links folder. This appears to be an issue with Internet Explorer 7 not detecting changes to the favorites folder properly. If your links are not being shown, you can easily force IE 7 to re-read the favorites folder by right clicking on your browser favorites links folder and selecting 'Sort by Name'. Your links folder will be restored as usual.

If you are using Outlook open the email message in question and go to View, then Options. Select all of the text in the 'Internet Headers' area and copy the text. Paste the text into a new message and send it as you would normally.

The Outlook Express plugin that comes with PGP 6.0.2i only works with OE version 4. Upgrade to PGP 6.5.1i instead.

Make a note of what you currently have in the "incoming mail server" entry (the name of your POP3 server). Change the "incoming mail server" from the name of your POP3 server to "localhost" (no quotes). This can happen if you are printing on a laser printer with only 1 megabyte of printer RAM. The solution is to upgrade your printer RAM to at least 2.5 megabytes. With Windows active you'll only get a partial installation (master disks 2 and 3 do not load). The solution is to "shutdown" Windows and restart in MS-DOS mode.

This problem can also be fixed by installing DCOM98 in the bottle with IE. DCOM98 is available as an automatically downloadable package in the CrossOver Software Installer. This is probably the result of copy-protection code. Many games and other programs like to verify the presence of original media during each run in order to make sure you aren't using a copied CD or installing the software on multiple systems.

Update Outlook Express(OE) to the latest version from Windowsupdate.com. Use anti-virus software such as Norton Anti-virus to scan email. Personally, I never use the email scanning that NAV provides, because I use the latest OE and the following measures: Disable the Preview Pane when downloading messages from your ISP. A quick way to do this is to add a button to the toolbar.

There is no option in Outlook Express that allows this. However, Dominik Jain has come up with a solution. Not only does it position the cursor and colour the different levels of quoting, it converts emoticons such as :) to real images. Check out the website and download OE-Quotefix here.

The Internet Connection Wizard makes short work of setting up your email box by walking you through each step for every e-mail account you set up. Start Outlook Express, and on the Tools menu, click Accounts. If the Internet Connection Wizard starts up automatically, skip ahead to step 4. On the 'Your Name' page of the wizard, type your name as you want it to appear to everyone who gets e-mail from you, and then click Next.

You can protect access to Outlook Express by restricting access to its executable file, msimn.exe, which is usually located in the C:\Program Files\Outlook Express folder. You can also protect individual folders used by Outlook Express by restricting access to the appropriate message files, located in the Store Folder of Outlook Express.

To maximize website viewing, the File menu may be hidden by default. Most menu options can be accessed from the toolbar. To view the File menu simply click on the ALT key.
