If your website visitors are having difficulty it is probably because the latest browsers have new privacy features that block certain website features if you don't have a P3P privacy policy. IE6.0 is the first browser to be privacy policy enabled, but it is expected that all browsers and web agents will adopt the standard. You may have a HTML page that describes your privacy policy or you may not even have a policy.

Yes, P3P-enabled Web sites use thair policy reference files to indicate the parts of their site to which each P3P policy applies. They may create one policy for their entire site, or multiple policies that each apply to different parts of their site. Companies that have many Web servers may also create a single P3P policy that applies to some or all of their servers.

Some web sites include a lot of dynamically generated content that has URLs that look something like: http://www.example.com/some-cgi/bigdll.dll?color&foo. These sites can use INCLUDE and EXCLUDE tags in their policy reference files to indicate what parts of the site a policy applies to. As long as you can enumerate all of your different URLs (or use the * wildcard appropriately) you can assign as many different policies as you like.

Yes - almost. Just don't use them with a dimmer switch or a touch-on lamp. It would burn out the ballast. Also, they can't be used outside because the ballast would get too cold to start the light.

you can see by the energy savings and longevity of the CFL, anywhere the lamp will fit is a good place to use them. However, the best places for compact fluorescent lights are in frequently used fixtures that are on for at least three hours at a time. Difficult to reach fixtures are also good places to put compact fluorescent lights because you will have to change them less often.

To use a compact fluorescent bulb on a dimmer switch, you must buy a bulb that's specifically made to work with dimmers (check the package). GE makes a dimming compact fluorescent light bulb (called the Energy Smart Dimming Spirals®) that is specially designed for use with dimming switches. We don't recommend using regular compact fluorescent bulbs with dimming switches, since this can shorten bulb life.

GE does make CFL bulbs for use in 3-way lamps. Check the package for this application. If a regular CFL is use in a 3-way switch, it will work on the middle (medium) setting and it should not damage the bulb. The 3-way switch does not alter the performance of the bulb.

Compact fluorescent light bulbs may generally be used in enclosed fixtures as long as the enclosed fixture is not recessed. Totally enclosed recessed fixtures (for example, a ceiling can light with a cover over the bulb) create temperatures that are too high to allow the use of a compact fluorescent bulb.
