LOE IDE is a windows forms based application which give the user a rich UI where map viewing and content development can be done while offline. When online, it connects to the remote Open Earth server through a set of web services. The user can download the map content for a give area and upload locally done changes to the server when online. Also the user has the option of working online and edit and view the map content.

It has been shown through Insulate's own experience that this combination may cause a seal failure in the insulating glass units. Firing glass is always tempermental. If the Glass Gold comes out black, especially if you put it on top of the Glass Relief or Raised Paste for glass, it is not being fired hot enough. I have found that especially the Glass Relief needs a good solid, if not slightly hotter, Cone .022 fire (1160F, 630 C). I use the pyramid cones and sit the kiln setter bar on the thicker part of the cones for a "slightly" higher fire.
