Definitely, yes. Faculty members teaching online are the same faculty teaching on campus. Instructors are an important component in our online courses and they continue to teach, mentor, advise, and interact with students just as they would in a classroom on campus. This communication is facilitated by a variety of tools including threaded discussions and email within the course.

Like a traditional course, your online course has an instructor that will conduct the class by giving assignments, answering questions, leading discussions and weekly synchronous sessions, and assigning grades.

Your instructor will contact you via email, during the first week of class. Your instructor and the staff at SNL will use the "Preferred" email address listed on Campus Connect to contact you. Yes. At the beginning of each course evaluation period, any student who has evaluations to complete will receive an email to this effect. During the evaluation period several reminders are sent out to students who have not yet completed their course evaluations.

You will need to sumbit a separate evaluation request for each course you wish to have evaluated. For courses with multiple sections, please indicate if you would like all sections or specific sections evaluated.

You may request evaluations for multiple sections of the same course using a single evaluation request form. Be certain to either check the "All Sections" box or provide a list of sections to be evaluated in the space provided. If you wish to use different evaluation forms for different sections you will need to submit separate requests.
