Most courses will not change, other than to accommodate the new schedule. In some cases, two-semester sequences, such as History 210 (American History) will be turned into two-quarter sequences. In other cases (most notably in the sciences, languages and calculus), two-semester courses will be turned into three-quarter sequences. Most students opt for the two-year program for working professionals. They complete two 3-credit courses each term, taken back-to-back to enable them to focus on one course at a time. Students in the full-time, one-year, program complete four courses each term, two at a time.

The quarter conversion process, which will be complete in the fall of 2005, has already yielded a significant improvement in program offerings at the School of Continuing Studies. As part of the conversion, all degrees, majors, minors and courses were subjected to a systematic process of review, leading to substantial improvements in many subject areas. In many cases, SCS updated courses and requirements to reflect "day-school" practices.

Full-time students generally take 15 credits, or three classes each quarter. There are some exceptions to this; students taking MATH 121, or participating in ROTC or chorale may have additional credits. Freshmen may not enroll for more than 18 credits during their first quarter of college. Taking only three courses may seem like a breeze compared to the five or more classes you had in high school. However, college level courses are much more demanding.

There are no official restrictions, but it is not recommended to take more than 2 upper division courses in economics every quarter since these are not easy courses!

In addition to a 4-credit First-Year Seminar, most students take three more 4-credit courses during their first quarter at DU. DU’s curriculum allows ample room for completion of University Undergraduate requirements, major and minor requirements, business core courses (if applicable) plus multiple elective credits.

One a student has been admitted to the graduate program, a full-time load is ten hours, which is usually two courses, but a student may register for as many as 15 quarter hours.

University of Maryland awards the standard .67 credit per credit-hour of study at institutions on the quarter system. A 3-credit course there will merit 2 credits here. Your College advisor will work with you to assign these credits within your program of study.

Courses taken on the quarter system at an accredited institution are considered for transfer. Basically, for every 3 quarter hours we issue 2 semester hours' credit.

We assume that a quarter-system credit equals .75 (3/4ths) of a semester-system credit. Thus, if you took two 3-credit hour courses on the quarter system (6 credits x 0.75), they would only be equal to 4.5 semester hours; therefore, you would need to complete an additional quarter hour course to equal at least six semester hours, if two full semesters of a type of course are required. CSUEB courses are offered on the quarter system. Each quarter (Fall, Winter, Spring, Summer) is 11 weeks in length: 10 weeks of instruction and 1 week of final exams. Yes. Results of the survey carried out in 2000 with the Association of British Insurers (ABI) found that the majority of major UK companies would insure an LPG converted vehicle at no extra premium, provided it was carried out by an LPGA approved installer, such as AFS, or was Manufacturer original equipment. Most would also not insure a vehicle converted by a non LPGA approved company or a DIY conversion, meaning you should make sure that any company has such a current certificate.

No elements of the conversion process should negatively affect the quality of the hospital. The credentialing and quality assurance aspects of the rural health network are in place to maintain a focus on the quality of the critical access hospital. It is also important to note that the regulations governing critical access hospitals allow for an operating standard that is appropriate for rural communities. These different standards do not mean a lower level of quality.

Courses for degree and certificate programs are offered in Moon Township, downtown Pittsburgh and Cranberry Township. To complete your degree faster, you can take courses at multiple locations and online. Students may complete the entire degree at one site but will not finish as quickly.
