Zone 3 Canberra, we can accommodate up to 30 players in each game. However, we prefer to limit this to 21 on weekends and up to 27 on weekdays - as this allows us spare packs in case of mechanical failure. (Where possible we will allow more - packs permitting.) The minimum number of players is two. For some this is great but for most people this doesn't make for a particularly exciting game, so we recommend a minimum game of five plus players.

The actual length of a Laser Tag game is 10 minutes long. By the time you go through the orientation, vesting, unvesting, annoucements, and score cards; each game takes about 20 to 25 minutes from start to finish. For basic information about Laser Port click here.

Yes. Zone 3 Laser Tag may be played as either an individual (solo) game or as a team game. We are unusual as a team sport because we have a three team format: we have red, blue, and yellow teams competing at the same time within the arena. This gives players some interesting new ways to think about tactics and teamwork while providing for more "varied opponents" for each player.

Laser Tag is a physical activity. And like all sports and activities there is a chance of getting hurt if you do not follow the rules. But as long as you follow the rules, there is very little risk of getting hurt.

Wear comfortable clothes (jeans and a t-shirt are great) and comfortable athletic-type shoes. Shoes that slide on or have high heels are strongly discouraged. Cleats and roller-shoes are prohibited. Please do not wear face/body paint or neon/blacklight hairspray/gel. These substances rub off onto the equipment, and then onto the next player's clothes.

Some users will tag posts for their own convenience in finding them later. Other users enjoy helping categorize interesting posts for the benefit of the community. Users who tag lots of posts gain status by appearing on Tag Leaderboards.

The Tag Game is a fun game that we’ve developed that also helps us to improve the tags or descriptive words associated with a video. Follow the instructions on the left-hand side of the “Tag Game” tab. Its fun and easy.

There are two different game types that we offer. There is the normal team game; with Red Team vs Green Team. Each player gets 60 shots and 15 lives. After which, players recharge to get all their shots and lives back. The other game is called a "Manhunt". In Manhunt it is Everybody vs Everybody, no teams. Also players have an unlimited amount of shots and lives. Hence there is no recharging. Also there are no base targets in a Manhunt game.

The teams are made by the Laser Port staff. You can request specific teams, and if able, we will use those teams. But, even if you do make and request teams, you are not guaranteed to have those teams. But we will do the best we can to get it as close as possible if we can not meet them exactly.

We play missions such as; Capture the Flag, Search and Destroy, Attack and Defend, Asassination, Defuse the Bomb, Ambush the Patrol, Recover Hostage, Missile Attack, and much more ! If you have a game you would like to play, just let us know and we can work something up.

After players put on their game packs, the game is started by the central computer and the players move into the arena. After about 20 seconds, the packs will activate allowing the player to fire their phaser at opponent packs and arena devices such as base stations. Each pack has sensors on the phaser, the shoulders, the back and the front of the pack. Zapping these areas will award points to the attacking player while deactivating the hit player for a short time.

Depends. We usually take reservations for groups of 10 or more. Reservations do not guarantee you a game at a certain time, it just places you at the top of the list. If you are doing one of our Packages, ie Bravo, Corporate, or Youth; you MUST make ADVANCED reservations.

Not at all! Read the equipment page and before your visit page and you can get a good idea as to how things work. A briefing video will be shown in the lobby for anyone to watch. It covers how to play, how to use the equipment, and what the rules are. When you purchase your ticket, we will send you to the Briefing Room. There, we will review the rules and answer any questions you may have. If there is anything that is not clear to you, please do ask questions!

Children under age 10 must always be accompanied by a paying and playing parent or legal guardian. Older children may play without a parent, but parents are greatly encouraged to play! After all, the game is designed for teenagers and adults. Plus, zapping your children is always a great stress reliever!

Most games are for 6 or 8 players with half of the characters male and half female. Addition players may take part as detectives and join in the questioning.

Releasing it in the IF Comp can be a very effective way, if it fits the bill by being a two-hour game that is not based on previous copyrighted work. There are other competitions at other points in the year which are less popular but still provide good ways to release a game. If you don't release your game as part of a competition, you should announce your game on rec.games.int-fiction.

The teen games are currently for 6 - 8 all girl players. Male characters are mentioned in the games and addition players may take these parts or the parts of additional girls. They will not have clue sheets but can still take part in the questioning. The children's games are for a small party, of all girls, all boys or mixed groups. As they do not have roles to play, additional children can have additional clue sheets printed and play a full part in the party.

The answer is usually "No". All of our Laser Tag games are open to the public. However, if circumstances allow, we might be able to do so. The only way to guarantee a game just for your group is to fill the game. This means 30 people or less then 30 but pay for 30 anyway.

Laser Tag is a high-tech sport where players wearing computerised vests or packs and handheld "phasers" attempt to achieve a winning score by zapping opponent players & base stations within a playing arena or maze.

There are no required age and height limits, however the packs are one size fits all. Usually anyone under six years of age has a hard time holding the weight of the pack, about 6 lbs, for the entire length of the game. But this is only a general average. Our laser tag equipment is designed for teens and adults. If you wish, your child may play (with the release form signed by a parent), but it is not recommended for children under 10. They must be able to understand instructions and follow safety rules, as well as wear and carry the equipment by themselves. Most participants in the game will be of adult age, and all players are expected to follow the rules, regardless of age.

Laser Tag can be played at your own pace. There is no reason to be rushing around the arena (we actively discourage this!), so as long as you are comfortable doing some walking for 15 minutes, which may involve going up some ramps, then you are probably fit enough to play! Of course, as only you can be a judge of whether you are up to the game, the final responsibility rests with you.

Laser Skirmish is designed for primary school students and their parents. Army cadets, scouts, boys' brigade, girl guides, air cadets, youth clubs, schools, sports team have all enjoyed Laser Skirmish. Laser Skirmish has no age limits, but we recommend 7 years and up. Often families like to play too - including Grandpa! Fitness levels are not a major issue as everyone can play to a level that they find comfortable. We have different sized weapons to choose from so we match you up accordingly.

Yes! All sensitive information (in particular the tiles you receive) are in the body of your email, so your same-email partner will not see them unless s/he deliberately tries to. Just be sure to put something in the subject header so that you can tell who's to read which email.

Both. The game is meant to be played first person. However, you can toggle the view with the press of a button/key. Both views are available throughout the entire game.
