Collapsible bicycles are permitted on all of our trains. Full size bicycles, however, cannot be accommodated on VRE trains due to space, safety and passenger comfort constraints.

The Spirit of the Heartland Formation and Training Team outlined an initial plan for preparing a Ministry Team, which was approved by the COM. FAT stands for File Allocation System. FAT 16 is an older, 16-bit version of the Microsoft File Allocation System. If Windows 98 is pre-installed on your system, it includes a built-in tool for upgrading from FAT16 to FAT32, which is Microsoft's 32-bit file system. With Win 95, unless FAT32 was preinstalled, your only upgrade option for acquiring the (normally desirable) 32-bit file system is a third-party disk utility.

ERwin is shipped in both 16 bit and 32 bit versions. 16 bit versions of ERwin require 16-bit connection software. 32 bit versions of ERwin require 32-bit connection software. In Mauville City, to the right of the PokeCenter is a bike shop, head in there and talk to the man on the left. If you choose the top option, he will give you the Mach Bike, choose the bottom option and you have the Acro bike. You can change bikes by talking to him again. There are three ways in which the trains are moved. Primarily the trains move due to gravity. The second way is by lift chains that lift the trains up the three lifts. The last way is through the use of Linear Induction Motors (LIM). This the same technology that powers the Tomorrowland Transit Authority (The WEDway Peoplemover for all us old timers). The LIMs push an aluminum fin located underneath the ride cars. This is primarily used in the station areas.

The Monorail does not operate on a preset schedule. Trains arrive approximately every 4 to 12 minutes depending on the number of trains in operation, which is set based on anticipated ridership levels. These levels will vary throughout the day to support expected peak hours. Passenger levels are monitored and service is adjusted accordingly. The majority of the day trains arrive every 5 to 6 minutes. Station announcements notify you when the next train is due to arrive.

The Bombardier sets are limited to 16 bike spaces and the gallery sets are limited to 32 bike spaces. On the rare occasion, a second bike car might be available on a gallery set. To change this, Caltrain would have to either remove seats or add cars. Removing seats: Caltrain's equipment can be assigned to any run, so to the degree possible train sets must provide similar capacity.

When a trailer car has a mechanical problem, it must be replaced by spare units. Many times, those units are cab cars, which do have bike capacity. So sometimes you will see a second bike car go into service while the trailer car is being repaired.

We train all of our dogs "in-house." This means their respective handlers, with the guidance of a senior handling instructor, train all of the dogs. No private individuals or entities are involved in training our dogs.

Folding bikes must be in the folded position prior to boarding and must remain under the control of the owner while on board. Folding bikes must be able to be stored under the seat in front of you or be placed in the luggage racks provided by Caltrain. Folding bikes may not be placed on seats and must not block aisles, stairs or vestibules. Folding bikes may not be stored in the space reserved for passengers wheelchairs.
