Governor's School is clearly situated between high school and college – a highly ambitious residential school for high school students. It grants students many freedoms associated with university study, especially the freedom of choice between many different intellectual and community experiences. It is also governed by a number of rules and regulations associated with residential life for high school students.

There is no financial assistance available in Wales for nursery vouchers. Wales has a different funding strategy to that in England. Nursery Education is provided in five x half day session in schools within the County Borough. There are places available, within the maintained sector, for all children of nursery school age.

Students who violate the rules outlined in the LPI Code of Conduct will run the risk of not receiving academic credit, being sent home from the program early, and possibly having something put on their academic record! Even if a student waits until the last night of the program to stay our past curfew, LPI can still withhold the university transcript.

The Kentucky Center Governor's School for the Arts provides hands-on arts opportunities for the state's talented high school students who are dancers, actors, instrumental and vocal musicians, creative writers, future architects or visual artists. The nomination process has multiple steps at the school and district levels. Teachers may use an occasional mini-lecture to present a formula in math or physics, demonstrate a new movement in art or music, or explain a recent theory of social groups or literary texts. But the hallmark of our intellectual work is the interplay between theory and students' responses, between the abstract and the personal.

All schools need to have certain rules. We have very high expectations, but aim to keep instructions simple, so all pupils have a copy of the School Code in their form rooms and pupil planners. A copy is also available in the back of this prospectus.
