A faculty member from a college or university with an active emergency management program, or one in the process of implementing or developing such a program, will contact the Higher Education Project Manager to explore the possibility of an Associates Program research assignment. The faculty member must have the support of his or her department and the duration of the assignment will be negotiated. EMI will not reimburse for travel or other expenses.

Yes, but not by NCATE. In Spring 2006, NAEYC implemented an Associate Degree Program Accreditation system. This accreditation process is not linked to NCATE; Associate degree programs are reviewed and accredited directly and solely by NAEYC. The NAEYC Associate Degree Program Accreditation also operates separately from regional accreditors, but to be eligible for NAEYC accreditation, the Associate degree program must be part of a college that holds regional accreditation.

Summer associates rotate through two of four departments (corporate, bankruptcy litigation and securities/real estate). We make every effort to accommodate summer associates' departmental requests and, if we are unable to give them both of their choices, we try to get them at least one or two assignments from the department they are unable to work in. Within each department, there is a partner mentor and a big brother or sister to offer guidance and assistance to the summer associates.

With the goal of replicating a first year associate's workload, we challenge each summer associate to accept a wide range of assignments. Typical responsibilities include: research and writing; attending trials, hearings, and depositions; participating in client meetings and strategy sessions; conducting due diligence; and, in some cases, directly handling client matters. No, in most cases. For the rating study, to do this would imply a different sampling methodology for the institutions that pre-populate than for those that do not. We will sample raters from among those who volunteer on the faculty questionnaire. We will, however, do matching of all faculty names with ISI data, regardless of whether they answer the faculty questionnaire or not.

The Florida midwifery licensing law requires 3 years of education for a Licensed Midwife, and a minimum of 90 credits. Miami Dade College requires specific coursework for an Associate in Science degree.

You are able to obtain an Associate's degree at any Community College. Universities and State Universities to do not offer Associate's degrees. To obtain the Associate Degree, a student must complete 60 units of college work. The 60 units must include General Education, Major and Elective courses.

Students wishing to change their program within the same Faculty can do so by completing an Application for Change of Program form. This applies for all students, whether postgraduate or undergraduate. To be eligible to apply for Change of Program, students must have successfully completed at least one course in their current program, and be eligible for admission into the new program.
