Agency records become "State property" after their transfer to State Archives, which happens after the agency no longer needs the records. The State Records Center (SRC) is used when agency records are still useful to the agency, but the agency has no room for storage in the office or department.

The Division Records Management Coordinator (RMC) or staff must inventory the records to be shipped and complete a Records Transfer List (STD 71). Instructions on how to complete the STD 71 (Standard State form) are on the reverse side of the form. The Transfer List number is assigned by the ARB RMC, in Administrative Services Division (ASD). Once the STD 71 is complete, the Division RMC forwards the form to ASD for review and approval. The form is then forwarded to SRC.
