Some recent additions to the MAAL include a number of advanced language units in Chinese, French, German, Indonesian, Italian and Japanese. Only 12 credit points of language units at the 400-level can be counted towards the MAAL. Note that it is not possible to take undergraduate level language units as part of this Masters degree.

Since course level assignments are different for language courses in different countries, Vesalius College requires that any student wishing to register for a French or Dutch course that is not at the elementary level (no prior knowledge of the language) must take a written and oral language placement test during orientation week (week preceding the first week of classes).

We think that exchange trips work very well when they are the product of strong links between two schools in different countries, based on a long tradition of exchange programmes or possibly a town’s twinning arrangements.
