You are not required to speak in front of a group but there will be a part of the ceremony in which you walk across the stage to receive your membership pin and shake hands with the officers. Otherwise, you will hear speeches from your current officers, a keynote speaker, and our scholar ambassador. Our purpose is to introduce you to the ideals and values that our club instills. You should sit and rest and wait for the paramedics to arrive. If you are with someone and you know that you are not allergic to an aspirin ask them to fetch you one if you have some nearby. The person should not leave you for long periods but popping upstairs or to another room for an aspirin would be ok.
