This will tell you if it at least exists on an album. There is another great new site developed expressly for this purpose: www.soundtrackcollector.com. You should also try looking in the catalogs of various mail order dealers such as www.intrada.com and www.screenarchives.

A.) I like all kinds of music such as rock, punk, techno, metal, 70's rock, and some hip/hop. My favorite bands of all time would be Led Zepplin, Van Halen (with David Lee Roth), U-2 and the Police. I have been totally in love with Sting since forever, so I could never leave the Police out.

A :: In Windows; WinAMP should play them. WMP seems to dislike OGG tracks (yay for MS), but you can download codecs to correct this. On *nix (including Mac OS X), you should already have something to play them. If not; try XMMS.

Sometimes, people who are paying for the DJ will request music that is non-danceable or a mood killer which then reflects negatively on the DJ. Some DJs use each event as a blatant "audition" for future work and prefer to always look good in the hopes of getting more jobs. These types of DJs are trying to impress potential future customers (your guests).

The sad reality is that virtually no film music is available like this. You can get piano reductions from places like www.halleonard.com (particularly of popular John Williams themes) but not the complete scores and not the actual film orchestrations. Another place to try is the Pepper Music Network (www.jwpepper.com) which has a huge inventory of music, including film pieces.
