How does it feel on your skin? When you put the oil on your skin, does it feel greasy and heavy? In general, soy wax does burn at a lower temperature than paraffin waxes. Ear wax (cerumen) is normal in healthy ears. The purpose of cerumen is to moisturize and protect the skin of the ear canal and to trap dust and particles before they reach the ear drum. Cerumen is formed in the outer part of the ear canal. Normally, wax makes its way to the outer opening of the ear canal, flakes up, and falls out.

Some people have more wax then others. Earwax is okay unless it blocks the ear canal and causes a hearing loss. We do not recommend cleaning your ears at home. It is wise to see a physician for ear cleaning.

Wax is put on the brackets so that there is minimal contact between the cheeks and the brackets. I personally wouldn't use it much when I first get the braces on, due to the fact that your lips/cheeks are going to have to toughen up and get used to the brackets sometime. The only time I use wax is if I have some bracket that feels like cutting me up for some reason.

The wax-up should be at least 0.7 mm thick all over. If the wax is not at least this thick, the restoration may not be completely
