GROWW was formed to provide support resources for the grieving community. Although originally begun for the widowed, it became apparent that the need for support for ALL grievers was lacking.

GROWW provides support on a number of different levels. A proprietary web site link to a variety of other support resources for additional complementary support. The Website also provides gateways to organizations or agencies which may provide assistance to the bereaved, such as the Social Security Administration, or local medical or hospice associations.

The answer, of course, is no. We want this community to be fun, interesting and worthwhile for all our users. So, yes, we do put some limits on what you can post to the site -- but they're reasonable. You still have freedom to post whatever you want about your climbing life. Here are some important rules: Stick to the topic of climbing. That's why we're all here. Post an article about why you hate the politics of George W. Bush (or love them) and we'll remove it.

Every message needs a subject. Nothing is more frustrating than seeing messages in your newsreader as having "No subject" as a subject. So, title your messages, and make them mean something! ALWAYS include a subject line in your message. Almost all newsreaders present you with the subject line when you browse the group, and it's often the only clue the recipient has about the contents when filing and searching for messages. Make the subject line meaningful.

Since general Internet activity is on the rise, the allotted bandwidth (the amount of data the can flow through a channel or line) is limited. Meaning resources are overtaxed and becoming obsolete faster that it can be made. So time to get data is slower and you could miss the stuff that you would have liked to view or download. Other than the help and discussion aspects on both that newsgroup and comp.sys.ibm.pc.games.rpg, many Dragons like to converge on Undernet IRC to chat (see section 1.8). Many of us also tend to have Ultima-related hobbies in real life as well. A few of us write Ultima stories in our spare time (as a hobby). At least one Dragon has taken up playing Ultima songs on his mandolin.

You can check the categories list under the subject you are interested in or you can do a site search. ShoutPost is a community social networking blog community so there are community categories verses individual categories per blog. In order to post a picture, the image file must reside on a web-attached server. Unlike e-mail, you can not post pictures that are only on your local PC. There are many free or pay sites that will host pictures for you. Be aware some some free hosting services do not allow images they host to be linked to remotely. Chances are that your ISP ( Internet Service Provider) offers you a free web site. You can also use that as a place to upload and reference your pictures.
