There is no definite answer to this question. You will be selected only if/when an investigator who has a position available visits the database and is impressed with your credentials. On or about May 15, those who have not been selected will be informed via e-mail. Remember, there is no central selection committee for this program.

There are target times set for responding to your complaint. At stage one it is five working days and at stage two and three it is 10 working days. However, if your complaint is particularly complex or involves a number of services it may take longer to investigate. When this occurs and it is not possible to respond to your complaint at stage two within 10 days, we will acknowledge your complaint and give you an indication of when a response is likely to be made.

Similar to an emergency room in a general medical hospital, the admissions staff prioritizes screening reviews based on symptom severity. A physician is paged by our admissions staff to review the screening information. You can expect to be contacted by admissions staff within an hour of completing the screening. The screening information is given to medical/clinical director and/or program manager for their clinical review within the next one to two business days.

Hearing is a series of events in which the ear converts sound waves into electrical signals and causes nerve impulses to be sent to the brain where they are interpreted as sound. The ear has three main parts: the outer, middle, and inner ear. Sound waves enter through the outer ear and reach the middle ear, where they cause the ear drum to vibrate. That’s a hard question to answer. No, you should never expect to hear from your patient/senior. Our patients/seniors are told from the start that they are under no obligation to respond directly to their Angels. Patient/senior response and feedback varies hugely. Some patients/seniors enjoy responding to their Angel, but most respond minimally, or not at all. We are here to encourage, not to add another obligation to our patients/seniors lives.

Every effort is made to act as speedily as possible, but delays can occur because we seek to be fair to those whose forms are submitted close to the UCAS deadline, and to judge candidates against each other. We usually receive approximately 2,500 UCAS forms each year over a period that extends from October to February, which we have to read carefully. You should not, therefore, be surprised if Durham is slower to respond to applications than some other universities.
