I feel this is wrong, as the list is primarily a discussion list, but the topic has been beaten to death, and the decision made. So if you want to send a reply to the list, make sure you change the To: field. On the other hand, do not "Reply to All". If you reply to both the poster and the list, the poster will get two copies, which is rather annoying.
