Can I remove posts from a discussion topic?

Kiva help
No. In the interest of keeping the integrity of communication, you are not able to remove posts. However, you may sometimes create posts that should be removed, for example, if your browser hiccups and you create multiple, identical posts, or you post a corrupted file that you don't want other people to open. If this occurs, click the Contact us button to send email to the Kiva administrators. Please be specific about which Kiva, which thread, and which post should be deleted.

What about off-topic posts?

Stirling FAQ
The list does range off-topic on a regular basis. Discussions about history, other science fiction/fantasy works, technological advances, and the Joss Whedonverse often come up. You might want to switch to reading the list on the web if your inbox is getting too inundated with messages, or switch to the digest format. You can do this at the list homepage on Yahoo.

NWACC - Distance Learning - FAQ - Frequently Asked Questions
When you reply to a discussion post, or compose a new post, WebCT opens a new window and leaves the message list open in the background. After you send your post, WebCT does not automatically update the list. You have to do this yourself to see the message you posted, as well as any new messages that have arrived since you first opened the list. To update the list, simply select the Update listing button. What should I do to someone who posts something off-topic?

Netiquette when posting to comp.lang.c++, C++ FAQ Lite
extended flame war against an off-topic posting is just as off-topic as the original off-topic posting. The cure can be worse than the disease. Instead use something brief and professional such as in the previous two FAQs (which, by the way, were adapted from other sources; see the credits in those FAQs). And please don't get personal or nasty — that just prolongs the (off-topic) exchange. What about spam? [Recently fixed a typo thanks to Paul Savage (in 6/02).

Are Off-topic Posts Moderated?

DESTRealm.Org :: FAQ
No. We know that discussions will rarely stay on topic and this is one of the many reasons we are not considered "topic nazis." However, if you are upset that someone "hijacked" your thread or has derailed another, do what is good and just! Bring the thread back to life and back on topic! The only thing worse than an off-topic post is the complaint about it being off-topic! There are some obvious exceptions to this rule, however.
