Microsoft offers the Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Image Format Specification under a royaly-free license to make it easier for partners to develop VHD-based solutions and continue to enhance the capabilities and extensibility of the VHD format. Full access to the detail specification is available by signing the Virtual Hard Disk Image Format Specification License Agreement. The image must be in either .JPG, .GIF or .PNG. The first two are preferable because of their smaller file size. All images must be under 10kb in size.

The format of an image generally corresponds to the type of compression used, which is represented by an extension (after the period). For example - yourimage.jpg or yourimage.gif. The only authorized formats are therefore gif, jpg, or jpeg. If your image is not in one of these formats, you'll have to open it using a graphics application, and save it under a relevant format.

You can convert the opened image to other image format by "Save As" menu item from "File" menu. See what graphics formats are supported by AyeView. NOTE: This function is Available to registered users only. This mean that unregistered users can not convert images.

Several CED titles were issued in letterbox format ("Amarcord," "The Long Goodbye," "Manhattan," "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and RCA's "King of Hearts"). RCA called this their "innovative widescreen mastering technique," and on the back of the caddy provided an explanation for the black bands at the top and bottom of the television screen.

We support original documents made in Adobe Photoshop® (.psd), Adobe Illustrator® (.ai), CorelDraw® (.cdr), you are encouraged to send us the original files you used to generate these. If you have used an unusual font, please send us the PC font file or convert your fonts to vector information. If you used another program such as Quark Express®, Adobe Pagemaker®, InDesign® or Macromedia Freehand®, please export your document as a generic .EPS or .

pSX currently supports BIN/CUE, CloneCD (CCD/IMG[/SUB/CUE]), and ISO images, as well as any of the above-supported formats compressed into a CDZ. Support for more formats might be added in the future.

The bigger the better (within reason). RedBubble needs big, high-resolution original files to make fantastic prints. We prefer JPEG or PNG file formats, and don't accept TIFF or PDFs. If you’re uploading files larger than 20MB they should probably be compressed or scaled down a bit - we don’t print billboards yet! What matters most is the number of pixels of your image - file size (in MB) is not a good indicator of whether a file is suitable for printing.

A RAW file is best. If this needs to be compressed and you are asking what is the best file format to use, the first thing to mention is please avoid JPEGs as they are too lossy and leach out the very information we need to do a good job finding edges. JPEG2000's are better but PNGs are better still.

The currently released version of JotSmart allows you to save the captured and annotated information as an image in .JPG or .PNG formats and indirectly as a .BMP file. To save an image in .JPG or .PNG, simply:

Images are preferred to be in 1:1 ratio. eg: 100x100 pixels, 250x250 pixels, or 330x330 pixels and so forth. We accept JPG or GIF formats and the images should ideally be less than 50k in size.

All Image Sets are downloaded as ZIP files and will require you to unzip them after they have been downloaded. After unzipping the Image Sets you will see the Images in their raw file formats which will be..... jpg, jpeg, gif, bmp, tiff, and so on.

The representation of the design must be filed as an attachment to the electronic application form and must be in the .jpeg data format. The maximum size is 2 MB per view. Each attachment contains one view. Attachments that do not comply with this shall be deemed not to have been filed.

We prefer Illustrator or Photoshop files, but also accept .jpg, .tif, .bmp and some .gif. Photos should be hi resolution only and taken in good light with no glare.

If you can upload or email your digital image, please use the JPEG file format. This can be up to 5Mb (when compressed). If it is larger than this, please send the image on a CD, or if it is saved in a different file format such as .tif, or .gif. Images can be up to 100Mb on a CD. An uncompressed TIFF is probably best. Disks should be sent in a bubblewrap envelope and include a hardcopy of the image if exact colour-matching is required.

The best formats to use are GIF, TIFF or JPEG (JFIF). Some other file formats are supported but provide no advantages over these three. The software we use does not support bitmap (BMP) files and if you upload bitmap images they will appear as garbage.

All GlobalAerials.net stock photos are provided in high resolution 300 DPI JPG format for print. Custom aerials and architectural photos are provided as JPG 8" x 10" or 8" x 12" images in both high resolution 300 DPI for print and 72 DPI for web applications. Should you need another format such as TIFF we can also make that available to you, just let us know when you place your order.

You define the image format that can be uploaded through the administration panel. Most popular are gif and jpg.

The editor saves images (by default) in format they were loaded in. To specify another image format use the DrawCanvas applet parameter "save_format". It can accept one of the following values "PNG", "JPEG", "GIF".

They must be in jpg, jpeg, gif or png though we recommend that you use jpg for MAXIMUM compatibility with our incorporated systems. These systems allow you to offer high/low quality preview thumbnails in full colour or in black and white. We also use other automated image manipulation techniques to embed our invisible watermark into purchased images. We DO NOT currently support bmp files at present but we will do so in the very near future.

Single image downloads are 300 dpi in PNG format. They are in RGB mode (if using these files for professional print they must first be converted to CMYK).

To obtain the best possible imagery within your Adobe Photographers Directory profile, it is suggested that you upload a 100% image quality JPEG. That JPEG should be sized to 260 pixels in width and 72DPI. You may upload images less than 25MB. Your images will be resized and optimized for the web before appearing in the Adobe Photographers Directory.

Please submit images that are less than 5 megabytes (MB) in JPEG (.jpg) format. For your reference, most photos taken with digital cameras will be 1MB or 2MB.

The PSP (.psp)image format is Jasc's special format for saving all the information in an image without any loss. PSP files include each layer and all transparency information (including masks) that is generated while working on an image. They can optionally be compressed via run-length encoding or LZ77 encoding.
