Fiberglass and carbon fiber hoods can “post cure” after production. What is post cure? Post curing occurs when resin gets hot or hotter than it did during the production process and the resin actually shrinks and moves, resulting in heat marks or small dings that can look like hail dents. This normally occurs on hot, sunny days or when your engine gets extremely hot, raising the temperature of the hood.

To roll your hood into a collar take the visor portion of the hood and fold it under and under itself forming a collar (this takes a little patience to get a flat even roll).
