The first thing you should do is type buy tear, then type quaff tear. That'll enable you to see/get any invisible objects you may have had. Then type get all corpse and wear all. You should look in your corpse after that to make sure you got everything. If not, type get all corpse again. If there's more than one corpse in purgatory (for example, if someone died right after you did), you may get a message that says "you can't do that" when you try to get your equipment.

There is functionality that helps you manage two sets of gear in this case (body bags). The world also looks somewhat different when you are a ghost and this further de-emphasizes any scouting you can do as a ghost. Also, in some rare locations where we do not want players to "scout", some monsters may be able to see ghosts and attack them.

Your lvl 40 mount is free. Your lvl 60 mount is probably about half-price if you have the right kinds of friends. They require a few quests and some pretty pricey ingredients. You get hopefully enough to keep death meaningful but also encourage you to go get your corpse and also not to scout around nakid. This is an RP-PvP realm and by coming here you accept the possibility of this happening. If there is a PvP solution to a problem on an RP-PvP server, you are expected to use it. It pays to make friends in this game, so find a higher-level buddy or two so they can help bail you out of tight spots when you need.
