Because most word processors lack document structuring facilities, this conversion implies loss of all structure in going from LaTeX, and total lack of it in the reverse direction. In either case, the conversion is likely to be rather poor. The Fast PDF service only accepts documents up to about 82MB. If your document is larger than that, you might try splitting it into several smaller documents and submitting them separately. We will be relaxing this restriction, but will not be converting very large documents for free. They can take awhile to convert, and slow down the service for other users.

The software is designed to convert ASCII text into HTML. That is plain, unformatted documents. Word and other wp packages use binary formats that contain formatting codes embedded in the text (or in some cases the text is embedded in the codes :-). Even RTF, which is a text file, is so heavily full of formatting information that it could not be perceived as normal text (look at it in Notepad and you'll soon see what I mean).
