A - Messiah's student body donated more than 70,000 hours to local mission projects and community service during the 2005-2006 academic year. During summer or spring break, on the weekends or in their spare time, Messiah students find ways to serve. A number of students travel overseas on short-term missions projects. Some students work with inner-city shelters and youth programs. Others volunteer with crisis pregnancy centers, social service agencies, and rehabilitation facilities.

Students that need service who schedule an RNC to come onsite will be notified if there is any onsite fee. Services such as harware installation, software installation, virus removal and harware configuration (not concerning ResNet) are subject to an onsite fee. The most cost effective way to deliver service is to bring the computer to the TSC or have TSC personnel transport the computer to the TSC.

Yes, GRTS has partnered with approximately 70 local and regional churches and other ministries to provide students with a Contextual Learning Center (CLC) Ministry Residency. The CLC is for students in the MDiv, MA Educational Ministries and MA Intercultural Studies degree programs. Hundreds of other churches are available for spiritual formation and ministry service. Within the School of Architecture, preservation students are eligible for various office, research, and teaching assistantships. In the recent past students have worked at the Charles Moore Center for the Study of Place and the Austin Heritage Society and have been employed to take part in school-sponsored activities such the Mayor's Institute on City Design and City of Austin Historic Resource Survey.

You need to be seen in the Women's Clinic at the Student Health Service for a full gynecological exam and pap smear. If you have already had a recent exam with another doctor, we will accept a copy of pap results but we still need to do the physical exam. Oral contraceptives are available to any UConn student without parental permission. Partner with a faculty member to research a topic of interest to you (outside of your major is OK!). Present your research at Discovery Day. Apply to become a Magellan Scholar and receive up to $3,000 to fund your research project in collaboration with a faculty mentor.

Children in the Infants and Junior School begin team games and may represent the school in competition with other non-government schools in Years 3 to 6. In the Middle School and Senior School, there is an active, weekly inter-school competition. There are also annual swimming, athletics and cross country carnivals from which students may be selected to represent at higher levels of competition. Several Macarthur students have progressed to State and National levels of competition.

Students who qualify may apply for on-campus federal work study positions, but there is quite a bit of competition for these slots. Because Duquesne is located in the heart of Pittsburgh, there is a wide range of part-time, off-campus employment opportunities available. The Career Services Center has lists of both on- and offcampus jobs. However, graduate students must carefully evaluate the effect of off-campus work on their academic performance.

Ministry opportunities, depending on the particular trip, include presenting chapels and assemblies, helping with service projects, conducting "children's clubs", sharing testimonies, helping at orphanages, and street evangelism. Spring Hill has a number of student organizations on campus. The campus programming board also sponsors several activities (such as Fall Formal and Mardi Gras Ball) each semester. Yes, on-campus jobs are available through Student Employment. Jobs are posted on the website at www.ecsujobs.org. Most positions are for up to 12 hours per week while classes are in session.

If you are interested in working on campus, but do not qualify for work study, you may apply at the Office of Human Resources. There are more than 500 positions open on campus for full-time students. Every effort is made to employ students in areas of study providing a “learn while you earn” situation. On-campus jobs include work in laboratories, libraries, maintenance, offices, switchboard and food service areas.

First-year students are welcome to participate in the Community Action program in the week prior to coming to campus. This program sends groups of Princeton freshmen into communities throughout the Northeast to conduct service projects. The Academy presents at least two student recitals each year at the Hong Kong City Hall where each and every student will perform in at least once a year. Performance Classes are also held regularly to provide a less formal platform for students to gain performing experience.

Every year, ROTC awards scholarships to hundreds of students, regardless of their families' financial status. Based solely on merit, these scholarships pay full tuition and fees. Each scholarship also includes an annual book allowance and a generous month stipend . Lehigh Valley ROTC scholarships are competitive. Each year we look for outstanding high school candidates who demonstrate strong scholar, athlete, leader criteria.
