WELCOME TO THEIt USED to be 'in' to polish or 'show sheen' your models with Vaseline, baby oil, Pledge, Armor All, etc. Models so prepared would always do very well in the ring, because the additive gave a shine to the finish. However -- it has since been determined (at least 10 years ago, I think) that using such additives as listed above ALTERS the finish of the Original Finish (Defined as 'finish as received straight from the factory') model, thus making it NO LONGER Original Finish.
