Yes, but only when appropriate. If a guide features profanity as part of its script, feel free to use it as such. However, don't overdo the profanity. There is no reason to swear in a guide, and doing so will often detract from the clarity and usefulness of the guide. Humor isn't so serious in that sense, but again, use where appropriate. A little light humor here and there is okay, but remember that a guide is meant to inform, not to entertain.

We've talked about several humorous things to place around the world. Some staff members were great fans of the old Sierra games, the King's Quest series, Space Quest, and yes, even Leisure Suit Larry. Our hope is that was can capture some of the essence of that type of humor. Not overly so, but at least the flavor.

Russians have a great sense of humor, otherwise they won't be able to survive in this country. They laugh about things instead of complaining. Though they smile little at the streets and in everyday life, it's not because they have no sense of humor, but because they do not usually smile without a reason. If you meet somebody's sight, she will usually just look back but never smile, as in Russia it's not appropriate to smile to strangers. The sense of humor they have is also different.

What you use for crankcase oil in your 4 cycle (Gilson) snowblower has become a complicated question. Most engines are permanently marked with a suggested oil for winter use. That recommendation has changed over time and oil technology has also advanced. Many older engines suggested SAE 10W oil for winter use. Along the way it became SAE 5-20. I'm sure there have been other variations as well. Either one of these oils will do a fine job in moderate winter temperatures.

Use white lithium spray lube or engine oil to lubricate pivot points of moving parts within the hitch. The pivoting points inside the hitch head should be lubricated with a white lithium spray lube. You will also want to lubricate the length of the interior handle and the coils of the springs. This will allow for easier operation of hitch. The pivoting points outside should be lubricated with a high pressure lubricant such as a 80/90 gear lube or a grease.

Use fluoride toothpaste. The one you already use might be just fine. Don’t use a bleaching toothpaste on babies. Baby teeth are naturally whiter than adult tooth. Pick a toothpaste that has the American Dental Association’s seal of approval.

This is a tough one to answer, because fertilization is so tremendously tied to water quality, potting medium, temperature, light and a variety of other factors. However, if you just have a few plants, and don't want to fuss around a lot learning about the intricacies of water and fertilizer, I'd simply suggest you get any reasonably balanced 'orchid' fertilizer, that is low in urea, and use it at approximately 1/4 to1/2 the label strength every other watering.

According to the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF), a nonprofit organization that tests products relating to health and the environment, the thickness and color of toilet tissue does not necessarily affect its biodegradability. Some brands carry the NSF mark indicating that they are safe for use with septic systems. However, there are many brands without the NSF mark that are also safe.
