In chronic liver disease, 2 EHRZ / 6 HR can be given unless there is severe liver damage. If ascitis and portal hypertension are present, treat with 2 SHE / 10 HE. In case of acute hepatitis, the treatment may be deferred. If TB is serious, treat with 3 SE or 3 SE + ofloxacin followed by 6 HR when hepatitis is recovered.

Drugs eliminated by non-renal routes – INH, Rifampicin, Pyrazinamide and Thioamides may be given in normal doses.

As per one's liking, TB patient can eat any type of food. There are no special diets necessary for a TB patient. One should avoid any foodstuff which causes any problem in that particular individual.

A patient of TB should avoid consumption of bidi, cigarette, hookah, tobacco, alcohol or any other intoxicating drug.

In most people who breathe in TB bacteria and become infected, the body is able to fight the bacteria to stop them from growing. The bacteria become inactive, but they remain alive in the body and can become active later. This is called TB infection. Most people who have TB infection will never develop TB disease. In these people, the TB bacteria remain inactive for a lifetime without causing disease.

People with TB infection (without disease) have the germ that causes TB in their body. They may have been carrying this germ for a short or a very long time, but they are not sick because the germ lies inactive in the body. The body's strong immune system has the germs under control. While the TB germs are inactive in your body, they cannot hurt you and you cannot spread them to other people. In fact, if you are infected by the TB germs, you probably will not know it and you will not feel sick.

TB bacteria become active if the immune system can't stop them from growing. The active bacteria begin to multiply in the body and cause TB disease. Some people develop TB disease soon after becoming infected, before their immune system can fight the TB bacteria. Other people may get sick later, when their immune system becomes weak for some reason. Babies and young children often have weak immune systems. People infected with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, have very weak immune systems.

CDI can result from at least two kinds of genetic mutations. The most common one affects both males and females and can be transmitted from father to son, or father to daughter. On average, about half the children will be affected. The other type of familial CDI is due to a mutation on the x-chromosome. It affects only males and cannot be passed from father to son.

TB disease can almost always be cured with medicine. The most common drugs used to fight TB are isoniazid (INH), rifampin, pyrazinamide, ethambutol, and streptomycin. If you have TB disease, you will need to take several different drugs. This is because there are many bacteria to be killed. Taking several drugs will do a better job of killing all of the bacteria and preventing them from becoming resistant to the drugs. If you have TB of the lungs or throat, you are probably infectious.

If you have this diagnosis your doctor should treat you. However, many doctors are not familiar with treating Lyme patients. In this case, you may do better to see a doctor who is familiar with the disease. Always try to keep your GP involved and informed. A worsening of symptoms called a Jarisch-Herxheimer reaction may complicate the start of treatment. This does not occur in every case but if it should occur further medical advice should be taken.

Many people who have TB infection never develop TB disease. But some people who have TB infection are more likely to develop TB disease than others. These people are at high risk for TB disease.

TB Infection (Latent TB) means that the bacteria are inside your body but they are not active. Typically, these people have strong immune systems and consequently, never have TB symptoms nor develop the disease. What's more, they do not pass the disease on to other people. Hepatitis C causes the liver to become inflamed, if this happened often enough the liver can become permanently damaged causing liver disease. A liver biopsy could determine the activity of one of several enzymes in question. It might be used to make a firm diagnosis in suspected cases of von Gierke's Disease or Pompe's Disease. However, a liver biopsy is an invasive procedure and should only be performed when a definite diagnosis cannot be made by other methods.
