The biggest new feature in Version 4 is the Advanced Modeling Environment. Version 4.5 is a rendering upgrade that provides video export capabilities, new vector rendering capabilities and the ability to save and load render profiles. It's easy. Locate your old Swift 3D serial number through the 'About Swift 3D' Help Menu command in your program and then visit the store and choose Upgrade. Unfortunately, because of the NEW, special features of V5 it is only compatible with other V5 toys. You can do this by selecting V5 in the IR Menu and by choosing either to play a game or marry.

In addition to incorporating a number of bug fixes, version 5 has the capability of working with layers, working with CMYK color separations, a new (.psp) file format, and Animation Shop. There are also more options for some effects and operations, multiple undo, and far superior transparency support.

New features require a lot of testing which is done during a dedicated beta phase. This is not possible during normal builds.

Since this ZAM 3D CTP build was derived from our popular Swift 3D application, we have not yet updated the documentation to reflect the specifics of using ZAM 3D. The major functionality between Swift 3D and ZAM 3D are identical. The only difference between the two is that we removed the 'Preview and Export' tab from the ZAM 3D user interface, and you have to use 'File | Export' to create the XAML file. Since ZAM 3D CTP is pre-beta, Electric Rain is not offering direct support for the product.

The Eurail Selectpass is the newest addition to the Eurail Pass family. As much as we'd like to say that we can perform the same level of optimization as Optimaze!, the fact remains that SWF output from Swift 3D is just as ripe for compression as output from Flash. In our internal tests we've found that you can expect an average of 30% to 40% reduction in file size from a SWF rendered from Swift 3D V2, or any of the Swift 3D Plug-ins, before you begin to see significant deterioration in quality.

The ISDD does not do versioning or version control. When you have a new version ready, you can delete the old version and upload a new one, or, if you wish to keep the old version available as well, simply create a new ISDD entry with the new name and version number so that both will remain available.

We have found this occurs with both Netscape and IE 4.0 when available RAM memory runs low. This problem is more common on computers with 16 Meg of RAM or less. Restarting NS or IE usually remedies the problem but only for a short time before it reoccurs. It is recommended that your web browser be the only open application you have running when you view PFR pages with less than 16 Meg of RAM.
