What languages will Bridge Commander be available in?
Untitled DocumentPlease note the following is unconfirmed. It's looking like it will be translated into German, but nothing is known about other languages. Problem is cost in box and compatibility/explanation. If we were to make a DVD version -- it would cost more to duplicate and we'd likely have to include the CD in box as well to reduce the number of people who bought the wrong version. Either way increasing costs.

Untitled DocumentBridge mode is where you control the ships functions from the captains chair using drop down menus and mouse clicks. The Tactical mode gives you full control over weapons, shields etc. All other stations are controlled as in bridge mode. Full Tactical mode gives the player complete control of all systems using a similar system to the Verbal Orders System (VOS) and Heads up Display (HUD) as found in Klingon Academy.

Minimum spec the team has always been working towards was a P2-266/300, 64MB RAM, 8MB Video Card (Voodoo2/TNT or better) w/DX8a drivers. It has still not been officially set and we definitely do have some performance improvements to make yet to keep steady frame rates on whatever our low end machine is.

Well the signs are that yes we will be able to create mods for Bridge Commander. Here's a bit more assurance from David Litwin... Yes, our game will be nicely moddable. I don't know that we can release our max->.nif format converter, but the X-Wing model format was much more complicated and people were able to figure that out and make mods for it.
