North Carolina State Bureau of InvestigationThe Unit is a statewide field investigative group made up of Special Agents who are assigned to conduct specialized investigations in the areas of Drug Diversion and Environmental Crimes. In addition, the Unit also includes the Clandestine Laboratory Response Team. This is a team of specially trained agents who are involved in the technical and hazardous materials response to clandestine drug labs, primarily methamphetamine labs.
