First, I'm 45 and not a student, so this isn't homework. I've been studying the American Revolution--which is of course, endlessly fascinating. i'm 39 wks 6 days and set to be induced on monday. i'm 3 cm dilated 95 % effaced the baby is in the birthing position and i passed the mucus plug 5 days ago. my doc also stripped my membrane 4 days ago. what i'm trying to say is i know my body is preparing for labor. do you think this will effect the time of labor? i've heard that induced labors can last longer. honestly that's kind of ok with me especially since i'll be using pain management. but i'm just wondering what your experience was.
