Of the 120 credits required for the BBA degree, a total of 63-69 credits are required to be completed to fulfill various part of the BBA Degree Program: 36 credits are required for the Core Courses, 12 are required for the Society and Ethics or Area Studies Courses, and 15 are required for the Major plus 6 are required in Language Studies for International Business.

All SU Abroad students receive Syracuse University credit for courses taken abroad, even when taken at host/partner universities. For SU students, this credit is applied toward major or elective requirements. Non-SU students receive credits either as home-university credit or as transfer credit, and should confirm their home school policy with their study abroad adviser.

The program requires successful completion of a 13-unit curriculum. A "unit" is usually equivalent to one course and translates to 3 semester credit hours. A thesis is required and counts as the student's final course ("capstone project").

The MSJS/MSJE require 45 quarter-hour credits plus the equivalent of one quarter (semester) of Hebrew. The doctoral programs require 54 quarter-hour credits in addition to any prerequisites

Normally it takes an extra semester and a summer to complete the courses to earn a double major, about 15 to 27 hours of credit. To declare a double major, you must have a cumulative GPR of 2.75 or greater and must apply no later than the SEMESTER BEFORE graduation. If you are interested in learning more about this option, make an appointment to meet with the department advisor for the double major.

Awarding credit toward your major rests solely with the academic departments. You must see your major advisor to discuss your academic program prior to leaving Haverford. Some departments restrict the number of courses that are acceptable toward the major from institutions outside of the Four-College Community. Your advisor must sign the Pre-Registration Form.

Only psychology courses may be counted towards the 38 credits required for the psychology major. The EM major has a total of eleven courses, in addition to the regular COBA requirements and general education requirements. The psychology major requires a minimum of 36 credits in psychology courses (beginning with the prefix APSY; EPSY & ECPY courses DO NOT count toward the major). Also, a minimum of 18 of these 36 credits must be taken at the University at Albany (this is the University's residency requirement for a major).

To take more than the maximum allowed credits, you may file a petition with the Office of Undergraduate Studies. When reviewing your petition, we will consider your prior academic record at FAU. Taking a credit load of more than 19 hours is not recommended.

There is no limit to the number of credit hours that VCU will accept from another four-year college or university; however, students must complete a minimum of 30 credit hours (called the ???residency requirement???) at VCU in order to earn a degree from VCU. From two-year colleges, VCU will accept a maximum of 63 credit hours.

In addition to class time, there are homework, workplace projects and study group meetings. Plan to spend 2 to 4 hours outside of class for every hour in class.
