However, it is up to you to make the most of the service by working closely with your e-tutor and asking him/her for help whenever you need to. If you are enrolled in an online course (FirstClass or WebCT) or a print-based course with mandatory e-mail list, then you may communicate with your tutor by e-mail. If you are in a print-based course with an optional e-mail list, the tutor is not obligated to communicate by e-mail. e-Tutor lessons are grouped at Primary (about K-3), Intermediate (about 4-5), Middle/Junior High (about 6-8) and High School. This cross-aging of lessons has been very successful for e-Tutor students as they can work at their own pace. Some lessons may be easier and can be used for review and some will be more challenging.

A minimum of twenty-four (24) credits is required for graduation from e-Tutor. Prior approval must be obtained for all courses taken outside of the e-Tutor Program to assure they meet our academic standards and curricular expectations. I read everything I am sent; however, sometimes, I don't have time to reply and the E-mail gets backed up in a pile of read messages. By the time I can clear my way back to the old E-mails, it's been over a month and I feel so very guilty that I end up totally not replying to the E-mail. Many people scan and save photos without realizing the actual file size may be several Megs! These files take a LONG time to be sent via e-mail because they are larger than would fit on several floppy disks. Some service providers don't even accept e-mail messages over a certain size. All scanning software has settings so that you can reduce (compress) the file size down to just a few Kbytes. Check your software 'Help' files for how to do this.
