Be sure to that you fully understand the terms to which you are agreeing when purchasing a puppy, particularly if you are asked to provide a large deposit up front--you may find it is non-refundable.

At the time you take your puppy home it has successfully completed only one half of the critical 16 week period in its life. The remaining 8 weeks are extremely important for both you and the puppy in terms of training and socialization. For those who live around, you can take your puppy to the Noreda Animal Clinic for a free check-up or take it to another vet. I do require all my customers to get the puppy checked by a vet no longer then 72 hrs from pick up day. If given a sufficient outlet for these behaviors with toys, your puppy will be less likely to use family members for these activities. The best toys are Light and movable. These include wads of paper and rubber balls. Any toy that is small enough to be swallowed should be avoided.
